Rafael Nadal 2005 French Open

TennisTalk

Welcome to my blog. This blog is everything tennis. Here is what to expect; the four tennis majors, most popular names in the game, strategies and predictions, but nothing is off limits when it comes to the game of tennis in my blog TennisTalk. Let’s start off with the four tennis majors: The Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open. In the calendar year, these four come in how I listed them with the Australian Open (AO) first in about late January. The other majors as well as the surfaces they are played on and how that affects play conditions will be covered throughout the blog on their respective pages.

In men’s tennis there is a list of men who have won the most grand slams off all time, and the top three is Roger Federer with 20, Rafael Nadal with 19, and Novak Djokovic with 17. These three players have dominated for the past 15 years racking up statistics and trophies like none other. They are known as the ‘Big Three’. With the COVID-19 in full form the 2020 French Open with be moved to late September after the U.S. Open and Wimbledon is cancelled. This is a huge leg up for Rafael Nadal because Wimbledon would have most likely gone to Federer or Djokovic and Nadal really likes playing at the U.S. Open. At this point in time, it is any mans race. If someone asked me who I think will end up with the most grand slam titles after all three of these legends have hung up the racket, I would have to go with Nadal because Federer is nearly 40 years old and Djokovic is not only two behind Nadal but there are some young guns who are knocking on the door. Djokovic won this years AO but Dominic Thiem took him to a 5th set in the final and nearly won the match, which shows that he is a threat not only at the French, but AO and the U.S. Open.
